Is there parking at the distilleries?
DUBLIN
Car parking wouldn’t have been too popular in 1780 Dublin, when we first opened our doors to Jameson Distillery Bow St., but thankfully there are plenty of car parks nearby today. The nearest car park is on Queens Street/Smithfield Square.
CORK
We’ve just embarked on an exciting upgrade journey which will see the buildings here at Jameson Distillery Midleton transformed between now and 2025, just in time to celebrate our 200 year anniversary. You may notice some construction work when you arrive for your visit, however we ensure that our experiences are running as usual with minimal interruption.
Please allow time to find parking before your experience, as we can no longer accommodate parking onsite. When you arrive, there is free parking available outside our main gates on Distillery Walk. There is also free parking available at Distillery Lane car park and on Main Street Midleton.
Are the distilleries wheelchair accessible?
Our distillery is inclusive and accessible to all. In fact, all our experiences are wheelchair friendly. If you have any questions or if you’d like to make a booking please email our reservations team at bowst@jamesonwhiskey.com or Bookings@midletondistilleryexperience.com
Is your tour outdoors?
All our experiences at Jameson Distillery Bow St., Dublin are completely indoors.
Our tours at Midleton Distillery Experience span across various buildings on our distillery grounds, meaning you will be outdoors for portions of your tour. We advised dressing in layers, with a waterproof top layer in case of rain showers.
Do I get to visit a live Distillery?
Jameson Distillery Bow St., Dublin, is where our story began back in 1780 and the home of Dublin’s only live maturation warehouse. However, we are no longer a working distillery – today, every drop of Jameson is made down in Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork.
If you’d like to visit a live distillery, we recommend a visit to Midleton, Cork. Here, part of the tour includes a visit to our Micro-Distillery that is generally in operation Mon–Fri, and our Live maturation warehouse is also part of the experience.
Jameson Distillery Bow St. Tours
How often do your tours run?
Don’t worry, our tours happen a lot quicker than the time it takes to make our whiskey. In fact, the Bow St. Experience starts approximately every 15-30 minutes and as we hold the title for the World’s Leading Distillery Tour, it can get quite busy so it’s best to arrive early or book online at jamesonwhiskey.com. You’ll also find the times of all other experiences available here too.
How long are the tours?
Our experiences differ in length. The Bow St. Experience is 45 minutes, the Secret Whiskey Tasting is 60 minutes, the Jameson Black Barrel Blending Class is 90 minutes, the Cocktail Making Class is 60 minutes and finally, the Cask Draw Experience is 10 minutes. Time well spent with friends old and new.
Should I pre-book my experience online?
Pre-booking is advised, especially for our Cocktail Making class, Jameson Black Barrel Blending class, Cask Draw Experience and Secret Whiskey Tasting experience as spaces are limited. Our flagship, the Bow St. Experience offers additional availability, so if you arrive without a booking, our aim will be to get you placed onto the next available tour (where possible), they start approximately every 15-30 minutes. However, to guarantee a specific time slot, please book online ahead of time.
Are kids allowed on Jameson Distillery Bow St. experiences?
In the spirit of inclusivity, anyone under 18 can take part in our flagship Bow St. Experience and learn about our story and process, but when it comes to our whiskey tasting, the kids will have to take a rain check. A soft drink will be provided for their enjoyment instead. Unfortunately, we can’t allow anyone under 18 on the Secret Whiskey Tasting, the Cocktail Making class, the Jameson Black Barrel Blending class or the Cask Draw Experience.

What are the ingredients used to make Jameson Irish whiskey?
John Jameson established our way of making whiskey in 1780 and we’ve been proudly sticking to it ever since. It might not be the easiest way, but insisting on the finest ingredients (unmalted and malted barley), triple distillation, and aging our whiskey in seasoned oak barrels has been the secret behind our signature smoothness.
